Dubai is moving towards the future: promoting eco-tourism , achieve sustainability and launching new projects

Dubai is moving towards the future: promoting eco-tourism , achieve sustainability and launching new projects – With its huge projects and distinctive achievements, Dubai has been able to be the focus of attention and attention of the Arab and international world, and perhaps its keenness to implement future projects that will have a role in protecting the environment within its integrated system, and has created a common link with nature. Dubai has always had a close and harmonious and innovative connection with its surroundings. The potential of nature and the protection of the environment is inherent in it and is something that is constantly being promoted and celebrated, whether through diverse practices, nature reserves or safaris.

Dubai Reefs

The “Dubai Reefs” project is considered the largest ocean revitalization project in the world and if built, the project will embrace 77 square miles of artificial coral reefs that will create a shelter for more than a billion coral reefs and a hundred million mangroves.
In addition to the artificial reef, floating facilities have been designed for accommodation, hospitality, retail, and several eco-lodges that will turn the site into a tourist destination
Dubai Reefs will bring more than ecotourism opportunities; it will strengthen food security at local and global levels. It will also provide social engagement in coral reef restoration and education about marine life
The project is mediated by a marine institute dedicated to ocean research and coastal environment protection in Dubai.

Renewable energy

The project will operate the site with 100% renewable energy, which will be generated from solar and hydro power, while seaweed and oyster farms produce food.

A model for marine conservation

It is worth noting that the project will face challenges when it comes to ensuring that the initiative is privately funded in full, accessible to people of all income levels, and Dubai reefs aims to become a model for marine conservation, ecotourism, and ocean living – it will eventually become a unique and flexible destination that provides food security, and energy from the ocean

Palm Jebel Ali island

The Palm Jebel Ali real estate project is an artificial island with a palm design similar to the Palm Jumeirah project, which was previously developed by Nakheel in Dubai, and has become a tourist destination in Dubai. Last November, Nakheel raised funding of AED 17 billion (about USD 4.6 billion) to accelerate the development of its new projects, including the Dubai islands project and other large-scale waterfront projects. Palm Jebel has been designed on the basis of being environmentally friendly based on renewable energy sources, which is targeted to account for about 30% of the total energy consumed in its public facilities, as well as units dedicated to collecting materials that can be recycled will be deployed on various sides of the palm, as well as the general plan of the project includes strict rules to preserve the marine environment.

About the project

The island of “Palm Jebel Ali” will be twice the size of “Palm Jumeirah” and the project will add 110 kilometers to the coast of Dubai.

The project will include large green spaces and will provide seaside living for about 35 thousand families, and will rely on smart city technologies.
It will include 80 hotels and tourist resorts, as well as entertainment and recreation facilities that will contribute to enhancing the tourism sector in Dubai.
The palm of Jebel Ali will be environmentally friendly, as it is targeted that renewable energy sources account for about 30% of the total energy consumed in its public facilities.
The project will promote the objectives of the Dubai economic agenda aimed at doubling the size of Dubai’s economy over the next ten years.

We need a pioneering spirit with regard to the planning of coastal cities and promote and ensure the proper management of environmental aspects of Nature Conservation and protection of its resources and biodiversity while achieving the best use of Natural Resources, and the sustainability of tourism activity.
