Blue Life Hub at AquaFarm. The importance of information and transfer of best practices in aquaculture and the blue economy

Blue Life Hub at AquaFarm The importance of information and the transfer of best practices in aquaculture and the blue economy – AquaFarm, an international exhibition and conference on aquaculture, algoculture and the fishing industry scheduled for 15 and 16 February 2023 at Pordenone Fiere, will be the setting for the event “Blue Life Hub – Mediterranean Continent. The importance of information and the transfer of best practices in aquaculture and the blue economy”. Blue Life Hub is the new online Blue Economy newspaper, entirely in English, which aims to build a bridge of information and knowledge between the countries of the Mediterranean basin.

The event is scheduled for 16 February at 15:00 at the Hurban Farm Arena – Hall 4. The aim of the meeting is to understand why Blue Life Hub represents an opportunity for inclusion, collaboration and growth for aquaculture and the blue economy. The round table, moderated by Mariella Ballatore, founder and CEO of Pesceinrete, will be attended by leading representatives of the sector, including Giuseppe Palma, President of Assoittica, Giuseppe Serrini, CEO of Skretting Italia, Libero Dipaola, administrator of L’Avannotteria di Petrosino, Marco Pedol, Senior Advisor for ESG & Sustainability, and Orazio Albano, founder of Blue Life Hub.

The speakers will address topics crucial to the sustainable development of aquaculture and the blue economy, such as the fish supply chain, fry production, fish supply chain standards at the Mediterranean level, and information sharing that looks to the future of aquaculture.

By definition, the Blue Economy aims to exploit the economic opportunities offered by the sea and the oceans, while at the same time protecting and conserving marine ecosystems and ensuring sustainable fishing and farming.

The event is a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss the advances and opportunities offered by the blue economy, as well as to share best practices and work together for a sustainable future.
