Professor Constantinos Mylanos announced as Keynote Speaker at the 3rd Aquaculture Africa 2024 Conference, Tunisia

The conference, which is themed “Blue Farming: New Horizons for Economic Growth”, will highlight some of the latest aquaculture research, innovations and investments to underpin continued growth of the aquaculture sector in Africa.

Professor Constantinos Mylanos announced as Keynote Speaker at the 3rd Aquaculture Africa 2024 Conference, Tunisia – Aquaculture Africa 2024 (AFRAQ24) is pleased to announce Prof. Constantinos Mylonas as its opening keynote speaker. The event, which takes place in Hammamet on 19-22 November 2024 will be hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries with support from other national entities in Tunisia.

The conference, which is themed “Blue Farming: New Horizons for Economic Growth”, will highlight some of the latest aquaculture research, innovations and investments to underpin continued growth of the aquaculture sector in Africa.

A renowned global aquaculture researcher from the Mediterranean region, Prof. Mylonas, who is the Director at the Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture – Hellenic Center for Marine Research in Greece, will deliver an opening key note address at AFRAQ24. The speech will focus more on emerging issues, innovations and technological advancements on fish reproduction in the Mediterranean – with special emphasis on major species of interest.
For the first time, Aquaculture Africa 2024 will take place in a Francophone country. In addition to regular programme topics of interest to African aquaculture, the event will continue to feature unparalleled educational and networking opportunities, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and information. Exciting field trips and touristic adventures are also planned around Tunisia. Registration and submission of abstract is open. Be sure to benefit from early bird registration, which closes August 31st.
