The Climate Change Forum in Tunisia Leads Africa’s Climate Action Dialogue
From October 16 to 19, 2025, Tunisia became a vibrant hub of international collaboration, hosting the second edition of the International Climate Change Forum, organized by the African Diplomatic League International (ADL). Following the success of its inaugural edition in Senegal, this year’s forum reaffirmed Africa’s growing leadership in global climate dialogue under the powerful theme: “Towards a Borderless World.”
The forum brought together delegations from nearly 50 countries, including ambassadors, climate experts, journalists, activists, academics, and young leaders from across Africa and beyond. Over four inspiring days, the event showcased the continent’s collective commitment to advancing sustainable development, the green economy, and global cooperation for a resilient planet.

According to Ambassador of Sustainable Development Imad Karim,
The forum’s theme symbolized “a world without boundaries,” emphasizing openness and cooperation in addressing climate and environmental challenges that transcend borders.

A Global Gathering of Ideas and Action
The event was more than just a conference—it was a living model of international unity. Attendees were greeted with seamless organization, from airport arrivals to accommodation at the Golden Tulip Hotel, reflecting the meticulous planning of the Global Goals Connections Group, ADL Ambassadors, and the dedicated management team.
The program combined high-level discussions, workshops, and interactive trainings with moments of culture and connection, including music, drumming, singing, and city tours that showcased Tunisia’s heritage and hospitality. The camaraderie among participants created an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared purpose, as they represented their nations in a spirit of dialogue and solidarity.
Learning, Leadership, and Exchange
Among the most engaging sessions was the Model United Nations simulation, where each delegate acted as an ambassador, presenting their country’s strategy to combat climate change and promote sustainable growth. Participants voted, exchanged perspectives, and proposed local solutions to global challenges, embodying the forum’s vision of collaborative climate diplomacy.
The training sessions, including GlobalEthix International’s “ESG 1000 and Climate Change”, provided participants with valuable tools to understand environmental, social, and governance principles in the context of global climate action. Workshops by Macademeya and other facilitators focused on sustainability, communication skills, team building, and leadership development—preparing a new generation of changemakers equipped to drive real impact.

Tunisia: A Hub for Sustainability and Innovation
By hosting this international gathering, Tunisia reaffirmed its role as a gateway for sustainable innovation in Africa. The forum underscored the importance of empowering youth and communities across the continent to lead the transformation toward a green economy. It also strengthened cooperation between sectors such as tourism, traditional industries, and environmental services, fostering new partnerships that extend beyond borders.
A Call to Collective Climate Action
As participants reflected on the shared lessons of the forum, one message stood out: climate action requires more than words—it demands unity, accountability, and change. The discussions emphasized that climate impacts are global, affecting small island states and vulnerable communities most severely.
The forum concluded with a powerful call to action:
We are all on this planet together. When one succeeds, we all succeed—as long as we work together for the greater good.
Participants were also encouraged to focus on mental health and well-being, incorporating breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to maintain resilience in the face of climate challenges.
The International Climate Change Forum in Tunisia succeeded not only in connecting nations but also in inspiring individuals. It was a celebration of learning, unity, and leadership—a reminder that building a sustainable future begins with shared vision and collective responsibility.
The mission continues—one person, one country, one planet at a time.
