Behind the scenes, Skretting Egypt is a success story in the feed industry and contributes to the development of aquaculture in Africa – Skretting is the largest aquaculture feed producer all over the globe. Skretting Egypt is the market leader in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. It is one of the leading international feed companies in the field of aquaculture development in the world, where it manufactures and supplies a variety of fish feeds that contain all the nutrients necessary for healthy fish growth. Skretting believes in its role in the production of specialized feeds for fresh water and marine fish and shrimp in line with the requirements of the European market in terms of quality, traceability, sustainability, and providing safe food for fish and for the consumer. It provides a wide range of products and services that contribute to improving the performance of fish farms and increasing fish productivity. It does not depend on the supply of feed alone; it seeks to improve the productivity of farmers and increase their profitability by providing the necessary consultations and guidance to obtain the best results.

Skretting Egypt Company is hosting a group of hatchery owners and customers in the aquaculture sector to attend a meeting on the feed management of fish hatcheries and the role of dedicated feed for broodstock (Vitalis) and fry (Nutra) in improving productivity, survival rates, and growth. It also develops technologies and innovations in the feed industry to ensure that the needs of its customers are met in more efficient, safe, and sustainable ways. In addition, the company receives a number of students from various colleges to learn new things about the fish feed industry, how to manufacture it, and how to obtain a high-quality final product in order to link the theoretical background with practical, applied skills.

Collaborations and partnerships

WorldFish and Skretting have solidified their growing partnership to address food and nutrition security in Africa through collaborative aquaculture support and innovation. The partnership enables both parties to develop aquaculture, have a greater positive impact on the livelihoods and well-being of small-scale fish farmers, and contribute to achieving food and nutrition security in Africa.

There is cooperation between Skretting Egypt and the US Soybean Export Council. Exchange experiences and update market requirements and challenges.
Recently, the company launched the Beyond Feed Iceberg campaign, which aims to define the value of fish feed almost as if it were invisible to the naked eye. Although everything may not be visible, the company works on the basis of transparency, trust, and an emphasis on openness in what it does so that people feel safe buying and eating fish and shrimp farmed by its customers.
